I nursed it back to health from near death when I got it and it's been very hardy ever since. It's been in my tank 11 mos and in another for at least a year before.
WOLF EEL DIET FULL
a least a full inch or more from the mark.įor reference, this is an otherwise healthy fish of about 12-14". The swollen area from last week was more toward the head of the fish. It's almost pinpoint now and fading back to the natural green. The mark was very white and maybe 1/3rd the diameter of a #2 pencil eraser to start with. It as well could had been stung by the foxface, how big a tank is this? For the foxface causes a lost of diet when most species become stung by them and is that area light in natural body color? Was this swollen area where this white mark is? And ich is already small.

Specifically, any experiences with Foxface stings to other fish? No other new additions since the Foxface, so disease exposure should be negligible. None of the other fish show any symptoms of ill health, much less ich. looks a bit like ich really but is getting smaller and better. There is a white mark near the back of her tail. I fear she may be blinded or something! She still weaves through the rocks ok, but she doesn't seem to see food even when it's almost right by her. More troubling, she appears to be searching for food but not seeing it. She's gone from a total chow hound aggressive feeder to downright passive. In any case, she hid for a few days (we were scared she died) and then emerged without the swollen belly.īut since then she has been far less aggressive feeding. I thought she might have had some type of blockage, but then thought maybe she was spawning.
A little over two weeks ago, her belly swelled up strangely (like has happened when she ate a VERY large meal but it continued to stay that way for several days in spite of intentionally light feeding). My wolf eel blenny's recently been through some type of trauma, but I'm not sure what.
